ABOUTThe major goal of the University of Colorado at Denver's NORC is to create an environment in which researchers are able to work together to conduct high-quality research in nutrition and obesity. The Colorado NORC helps create that environment by facilitating interaction and collaboration among investigators working at different levels of basic and clinical investigation, from gene to cell to organ to animal model to human to clinical to community intervention.
The specific aims of the Colorado NORC are:
RESEARCH CORESMetabolic Core
The Metabolic Core provides consultation and support for the investigation of insulin resistance, obesity, and inflammation in cellular and molecular focused research.
Energy Balance Core
The Energy Balance Core provides expertise and state-of-the-art instrumentation and techniques for measuring all aspects of energy balance for obesity and nutrition-related research.
Weight Management Clinical Core
The Weight Management Clinical Core supports weight loss and weight maintenance research through the delivery of diet and exercise interventions for patient oriented research studies.
